Acceptance of terms
When you access this site, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms described below. If you do not agree to the terms discussed here, you should exit the site and refrain from placing any order.
Contract, payment and delivery all within New Zealand
Orders will only be accepted by Honeymeisters HQ in Rangiora, New Zealand and payment will be made in NZ currency.
Product availability
Product may be added to or removed from the site from time to time. From time to time products described on the site may not be available. While Honeymeisters does not accept liability for any loss arising, every effort will be made to keep the information up to date and accurate
Use of cookies
Some pages on this site use "cookies" which are small files that the site places on your hard drive for identification purposes. These files are used for site registration and customisation the next time you visit us. You should note that cookies cannot read data on your hard drive. Your Web browser may allow you to be notified when you are receiving a cookie, giving you the choice to accept it or not. If you do not accept cookies, some pages may not function fully and you may not be able to access certain information on the site.
Orders, Price and Payment
Products may be ordered by following the instructions on the Online Store pages of this site. All prices quoted include Goods and Services Tax. Prices may increase or decrease from time to time. Orders will be accepted for delivery within New Zealand, and to those countries listed as Locations.
Within New Zealand, online orders are delivered using Fastways Couriers and are tracked. They carry a minimum charge of $7.50, for goods up to 2kg. Couriers will only deliver to residential or business addresses - PO Boxes are not accepted for security reasons. Please ensure you have your order delivered to an address where someone is available to sign for it. If you were unavailable to sign for an item when our courier called, they may leave a card to call at the delivery address. This card details when the delivery was attempted and a telephone number you are to call to arrange another delivery.
International Postage: In order for an order to be made with freight applied, we must estimate the cost of freight, including packaging. The delivery charges include postage, insurance fees and handling costs.
Freight will be calculated for each order and shown as a separate item before you chose to enter your payment details and send the order to be processed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgment, to be placed for commercial purposes, e.g. any kind of reseller. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgment, to have been placed fraudulently.
Insurance
Insurance for overseas orders can be purchased at the checkout.
Insurance covers you for damage in transit or missing in transit. It does not cover where the address supplied is undeliverable.
Only supplied addressses that are deliverable can claim insurance for non-delivery. If a parcel does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe and you advise us of non-delivery, we will put in a claim to NZ Post. NZ Post will initally send a letter to the supplied address. If the recipient does not receive this letter, NZ Post will not provide insurance, as they will deem the address as not a correct or deliverable address. Be very careful to ensure the address you supply is correct, including necessary post codes.
China: we have had cases where an address has been supplied and parcels have arrived, but subsequent parcels have not arrived, including the follow-up NZ Post letter. Unless the customer receives the NZ Post letter, insurance will not be given and Honeymeisters cannot offer a refund or resend their order. Please be aware that the postal service within China can be problematic and the customer must be willing to accept the risk of having a potential non-deliverable address. It may be worthwhile to provide the address in Chinese text as well, to assist in local delivery.
We package your items very carefully however sometimes items can get damaged in transit. If you receive your parcel and all/some of the contents are damaged, you are to firstly submit a claim at your local postal service, showing them the damaged goods. You can then let us know, and if possible, email us a photograph of the damanged product. We will immediately re-send a replacement.
Title and Risk
Your order is not binding until accepted by Honeymeisters. No charge will be made until the order is accepted. Goods are at our risk until delivered to you (providing you have supplied a deliverable address).
If you do not receive your goods within a reasonable timeframe... for domestic, contact us and we will trace your parcel. For international, let us know and we will provide you with the shipping receipts and any other information so you can lodge a missing parcel complaint with your local Post Office.
We will also submit a claim with NZ Post and they will initially send you a letter to the oiginal address supplied. When you receive this letter, you must following their instructions. If you do not receive this letter, then NZ Post will assume the address supplied is not a deliverable address, and insurance will not be provided.
Honeymeisters takes no responsibility for items not received if the address supplied is undeliverable.
If your order is returned to us due to damage, we will re-send it to you at no extra charge.
If your order is returned to us due to incorrect or undeliverable address, we will notify you. We would have incurred a freight charge for the return of the parcel, so in order for you to get your order, you would have to provide a new deliverable address. You would then be charged for the freight charged to us for the return of your parcel, as well as the freight costs to get the parcel shipped to you. It is therefore very important you always provide a deliverable address. Freight is expensive.
Cancellation and Product Return
You may cancel this order without charge at any time up to the despatch of goods to your address. Any charge to your credit or debit card will be reversed.
Once you have received your goods: As our products are food items, we cannot accept any returns if you have changed your mind as any returned goods will not be resold.
You may return the goods if they are faulty, did not meet your expectations, or where the goods delivered are not those you ordered,. However, you must return the goods in their original condition and packaging and they must be received by us within 30 days of delivery. You may choose to have the goods replaced without further charge, or your credit or debit card will be credited with the cost of the goods including the cost of handling and delivery. All goods returned must be in original condition and packaging, and include any invoice or delivery dockets. All goods except faulty goods must be unopened.
Warranties
Honeymeisters gives no express guarantees unless they are in writing. Honeymeisters will replace any goods which fail to comply with any guarantee contained in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Nothing on this site is to be construed as a recommendation to use any particular product.
Limitation of liability
Honeymeisters is not liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use, or the inability to use, the material on this site. This includes but is not limited to the loss of data or loss of profit, even if Honeymeisters was advised of the possibility of such damages.
Food Warning
Honeymeisters factory uses equipment that processed peanuts and other non-honey raw material, and whilst every effort is made to prevent cross contamination, small traces of these raw materials, including peanuts, may be found in any of our honey products processed at our factory.
